Long before the Town of Rivers was born, news from the communities in
the R.M. of Daly such as Ancrum, Tarbolton, Wheatland and Roseville
would occasionally appear in the Brandon Sun.

the Grand Trunk Pacific was big news
across the country and across the continent. Even the New York Times
reported on G.T.P. plans and progress.

Provincial and National Papers noted the creation and evolution of the
